T5070 4wd not working

Quick question for anyone who can chime in... I particularly hope RickB sees this, as I know he is a wealth of NH information. I bought a new T5070 in August. I really love this tractor, it is a beast. I only have about 20 hours on the clock, and have had no reason to use the 4wd. I got it back Friday from having the loader installed, and decided today to push out some small trees that had to go. I flipped the 4wd switch, heard something engage below the tractor(same sound as when applying brakes, as 4wd engages during braking) and commenced pushing. Funny thing is, rear wheels spun, and front did not. So off to muddy hill to test... In 4wd, going up, rear tires spun, front did not. Coming down, applying brakes, rear tires locked, front did not. I called the dealer, and they will correct whatever the problem is, they have been great to deal with. My question is, anyone else ever see anything like this? I can hear something actuating when I apply brakes or flip 4wd switch, but no 4wd...

Maybe one of the front driveshaft couplers has slid out of position and is disengaged from the front pinion or drop box output shaft. A missing or misplaced snap ring will allow this.

OK, wow... That's all I can say. You really nailed it, spot on. Out of curiosity, I crawled under the tractor for a look. Sure enough, the coupler between the pinion shaft and driveshaft was slid back on the driveshaft, completely disengaged from the pinion shaft.

I'll say two things... One, thank you, this is a major relief. Two, you REALLY know your stuff.

OK, wow... That's all I can say. You really nailed it, spot on. Out of curiosity, I crawled under the tractor for a look. Sure enough, the coupler between the pinion shaft and driveshaft was slid back on the driveshaft, completely disengaged from the pinion shaft.

I'll say two things... One, thank you, this is a major relief. Two, you REALLY know your stuff.

Update: Tech came out to my place today and repositioned the coupler and replaced the snap rings. All is well, works like a charm.
