I decided to replace solenoid after further checking; however this is a very good point for all Bobcat owners to take note of. Bobcat dealer price for this solenoid only(no valve) was $ 304.00; the same part from a Kubota tractor dealer down the road was $ 143.00. Same kubota part for same Kubota engine. I believe people should make a fair profit (and keep in mind that the tractor delaer is making a profit at $143) but Bobcat's profit is radically excessive (actually insulting). Bobcat's additional profit would have been more than the my total cost of the part.
