I have the warning light on my T1510 tractor. I know it has to do with the air filter and I replaced it but the light did not turn off. Tried disconnecting the battery for a day and no help. Is there some sort of reset or am I missing something here? Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the air box for the sensor. I believe there is a reset button on the sensor.

Any idea where about the sensor would be located on the air box?

I'm not sure in that tractor in particular and the parts diagram over at Messicks doesn't seem to be very clear either.

Should be the part #9 on this diagram.

Update: After checking everything over and not finding any type of reset for the light I wanted to take a look behind the dash to check on some other stuff and when I got back there I found a nest of some sort. Quickly saw the wire harness wires damaged. Looks like the harness feeds the warning lights. I cleaned out the nest and wiggled around the wire harness then bolted everything back together. Started up the tractor and the light did not come back on. I'm guessing that is my issue with the light.

Yep, rats! They love PVC plastic and will chew clean through copper wire.

That's repairable if you can get the wire connectors out of the socket. There's a release tool for that. It's a thin blade you insert from the socket side while pushing in on the wire. Then just pull the wire and connector out of the rear of the socket. Keep track of which wire went to each port on the socket.

You can also get new connectors and just attach them to the old wire. It looks like you have enough wire to trim them back. The crimp tool and connectors will be far cheaper than new harness or part.

Get some cats or put out traps along the walls if you store your tractor in a barn.

Thanks for the update.

That would definitely cause some sketchy stuff to happen. Good thing you caught it in time and prevented a possible fire from happening.

This is the crimper: Molex Crimper

The wire connectors vary but are available as well.

I plan on trying to repair the wires soon. It was driving me nuts trying to figure out why the light wouldn't turn off. I think it's been like that for a very long time because I remember at times while mowing the light would flicker on/off. When I replaced the filters they still looked pretty clean. Tractor only has 48 hours on it.
