Overall....Think it's better to get the Kubota T&T or save some $$ and install a aftermarket T&T rig?

I read here that Kubota's is pretty clean, but not as easy to work with.

Any input would be great.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim, I looked at Kubotas and I ended up with my own custom setup. I prefer mine from the aspect of function while the Kubotas is more on the line of form. Kubotas looks cleaner but that was'nt my first priority. I have posted pictures of what mine looks like here about 1 year ago or so. My valve levers are in a position that would seem to make more sense but in all honesty, I never got to try out any done with the stock Kubota TnT. I simply reached my hand down where the 3 slots are that would take the levers and did not think it would be as funtional as where I put them. I have a 3 spool body with 6 quick coupler remotes on the back. While the third gets used the least, when it's hooked to my Harley rake, it gets used the most since it ends up controlling a solenoid block that controls 3 different hydraulic funtions. My TnT was about $1300 for a Dinoil valve body, many, many fittings, hydraulic cylinders (Gannon), 6 quick couplers and their associated hydraulic lines, a PB hydraulic line and a return hydraulic line, a tap block and a easy to adjust valve body bracket that I modified futher for my likes. I use it everytime I am on the tractor whether it's mowing or a post hole digger. Rat...

The Kubota kit for the L series contains only the cylinders. You have to purchase the remotes seperately. The cylinders do not have double pilot operated check valves and they list for $700. Two rear remotes will set you back another $1000.

No cylinder kit is offered for the B/BX series but the remotes are available. Just make sure you get it configured correctly (hoses, adapters, hydraulic blocks, etc) for the model you have.

Not sure what you mean, I was quoted everything from cylinders, 3 spool valve that fits next to the seat etc., for about $1400, all from Kubota. They even show the setup on the L30's series brochure. I have yet to have ever needed piloted valves on my hydraulic cylinders, I just don't see the need for my use. Mine don't drift with the exception of the tilt cylinder, but that is after hours of use and we are talking about maybe 1/2" if that.

The 2 cylinders are a specific option (L8326) that has an MSRP of $700.

For 2 factory rear remotes you will need an L8305 base kit for $400, an L8306 second position stacking kit for $200 and you will need 2 L8303 valve kits at $200 each for a total of $1000 MSRP.

Now if you want the third remote you add an L8307 third position stacking kit ($200) along with another L8303 valve kit ($200).

If you were quoted anything other than the Kubota options, that means that the dealer sourced the parts and put the kit together (eg, like yours). Ala carte as they say.

This is the kit that is in the Kubota price book. I do not know who they source the cylinders from as I have never actually seen them. Five years ago they used Gannon, who externally sourced them but I don't think they are the current vendor.

Junk,

I'm trading in my BX soon for a bigger rig. Pretty sure I'm going to the L3830 and was wondering if I should attempt to do it myself or just have factory install the T&T. From what I've read here they are necessary for a box scraper to function properly.

We moved to a bigger property and I'm doing some development of the land, thus the need for a bigger machine.
