The 0 % interest for 60 months has peaked my curiosity. SO Im looking at the NH T 4000 4030 (76 HP PTO 62 HP). Currently have JD 5200 (45 HP PTO 40 HP) W/FEL.
My questions are:
What is the Suggested Retail on the Base T 4000 4030 2/WD?
What is the Suggested Retail on the Base T 4000 4030 4/WD?
on the joy stick with mid remotes?
on the block heater?
on the FEL 810 or 820?

You get the drift of my questions. And I have more.

Is there anywhere on the WEB where you can locate this information? I would like to use it as a bargaining tool in the negations. Ive looked on the NH website and I cant locate it. If its on the NH site can anyone tell me where?

And yet go to JDs website and they have a tool that allows you to build you own tractor with pricing.

Any help will be appreciated.

Don:

Though I have no answers to your specific questions, I do know that the current CNH incentives are quite good.

Yesterday, I bought a NH T4050 deluxe with supersteer and 820TL FEL. The dealer showed me the invoice , which showed suggested retail as well as the price that he "paid" for the tractor. The suggested retail is an artificial number that no one pays. Indeed, as is the case with new automobiles, the final cost to dealers is usually considerably less than "invoice." It was in the case of my tractor.

These days, one should be able to buy a NH tractor for less than "invoice." I certainly did and by a significant amount. The "suggested retail"/"invoice" game is much like the new car business. As a former engineer for GM, I am intimately familiar with the automotive pricing game.

Though he current incentives are due to expire on 11/30, just about everyone expects that they will be replaced by new incentives that are at least as attractive.

Hey thanks for your opinion. I agree that these next few months may be the best time to buy new. I typically buy Gently Used (LOL),:) Equipment but the 0% and discounts is certainly a catalyst for me to buy new.

I will tell you I'm having some bad experiences with my local NH dealer. And I've never worked with NH before. The long and the short of the story is I've had to stop by our local dealer three times to get a price and each time the Sales Rep. goes to Sales Manger come back and tells me he'll give me a call later that day with the numbers. But the call never comes. The funny thing is the Rep. been out to our place to look at my trade in. It's not like they haven't put any time in.

While I was waiting to get a quote, I went to a different NH dealer 25 miles away in Zanesville. The same day the Rep. came out looked at my trade in. Called back the next day with a quote (more about that later). On the third day I go down to make sure I qualify for 0%. I did.

On my third visit to the local dealer I go in and say that I really need a quote, which he gives me.

Here it comes..... on identical equipment, setup, FEL, ECT ECT ECT there is a Five Thousand Dollar price difference in the 2 quotes. I kid you not, $ 5,000.00 difference. And you can guess which dealer is the highest. I can tell you I didn't feel like a friend when I walked out of my local dealer, whereas I felt like a friend down the road. Now here's the real sugar. 25 mile away dealer doesn't have 2 WD in stock, but has a MFWD in stock for $2,200 more. Seems like a good price

If I didn't have another dealer so close I would be pretty upset by that lack of sales skills from our local dealer. I think I'm going the buy the 4030 down the road just so I can go back to the local dealer to buy my filters:D (LOL).

Now all I have to do is talk the wife into it (LOL):). "Honey Christmas is just around the corner and I want to spend THOUSANDS of dollars".

When I decide to purchase I'll post some pics. Thanks

PS From my earlier POST not only does JD have a build you own site with MSRP but so does Massey.

Don:

Though there once was a time that business could be kept somewhat local, the internet has ended such practice.

The fact that you are in this forum demonstrates that you know this.

Some isolated dealers have not yet accepted this. They will soon perish if they do not.

Decide what you want, go online for prices and show these to your local dealer(s).

JD has preferred prices for 'affinity groups', which includes the 1/4 horse club of America. Look up the info. You might find it worth joining if the pricing is close enough.

Try this site: Contract Specifications - {contract item}

The pricing is a bit out of date, but could be useful.

Also look at CaseIH website, they have a pricing tool. Just look up the Case equivalent of the New Holland and then price it out.

Thanks for all the useful information.

I like the idea of "affinity groups" like quarter horse, but the only livestock that I have (and want) is one head of dog and one head of cat :). I will have a few thousand head of Prawn this spring and harvest in the fall.

The MSR price list is very helpful, and the 60 month 0% is on for the month of December, I just have to run the numbers to justify. But its looking good.

Again thanks for the numbers.

New Holland is coming out with a program that you can build and get a msrp on a tractor, but a T4030 2wd msrp now is $30358 and 4wd is $36553 before shipping or anything on just the base tractor.

Thomas:

Investigate the "Contract Specifications" site linked above by Froggy. Though the pricing is about one year out of date, it is not too far off.
