Swivel Gauge Wheel Mod for the Kubota Mid-Mower RCK54-22BX

Has anyone ever converted the 4 Gauge Wheels on the Kubota MMM deck to swivel? My old Zero-Turn had them and never understood why they are not on the Kubota factory MMM decks!

I have not seen it done but that is a GREAT idea. Those balky wheels are a nuisance when removing the deck and tend to get caught up on minor bumps once in a while because they will not divert. The main question I would have is durability. Those guage wheels take a lot of beating and if you add bearings and left-right swivel I'd think they probably would not take the beating as well. ??
