Being Swiss made it does not come as a surprise.
The Swiss are finding it difficult to be competitive because the Swiss Franc continues to rise in value... so much so, the Swiss Government calls it a grave concern and has taken steps to lower it.
I saw a clean 21' travel trailer for sale this afternoon for $4800 or best offer... could buy two of them of the Swiss car camping kit.

so they took some boards cut slots in them then sell them for $9484.00 they could probably sell ocean front property in AZ :laughing:

My dad built a setup like this to fit in our old Jeep Wagoner and Cherokee. Back when those Jeeps were decent sized and not econ box sized.
We had three boxes. On large one that sat in front of two small boxes. The large box was hinged on top and had things we did not need to access much such as a logging chain, axe, etc. The two small boxes sat at the end of the Jeep and were hinged so that they opened down. The lids opened up onto the tailgate and gave us a flat surface. One one of the small boxes help food and our two burner stove which had its own compartment. The other box was more food.
We had two cut down saw horses. We would fold down the back seat. Place the two saw horses and move a piece of plywood that we pinned into the stop of the saw horses. The plywood spanned the folded down seat to the boxes. This made the bed. Air up the mattresses, unroll the sleeping bags and we were good to go. :thumbsup:
It took no more than 30 minutes to setup camp including heating up some food. it was a great little setup that we used for years. Cannot wait to tell the old man the Swiss are trying to sell the same thing for $9,500.
We will have to sell cheaper since we did not have the sink and shower, just a five gallon plastic water can.

We built something similar in the boy scouts and it did everything that did for just a couple hundred bucks.
That picnic table was embarrasing, but for over nine grand, I was expecting more then sleeping in sleeping bags in the mini van. Couldn't you do that without the $9,000 box?

As a rule, I don't like camping. However, if she comes with the box, I'll make an exception.
