What are any of you guys using to combat sweet corn ear worms? I've never really used anything in the past and last year they were pretty bad.

Unless you pulled your stalks last fall, plant in a different spot this year. (I would anyways.) They overwinter in the trash left behind. Mineral oil in the silk of each ear is supposed to keep them at bay, although that's rather labor intensive.
I'm sure there is Sevin or some other product you can spray but I try to avoid that as much as I can.

Dipel. Considered an organic. Kills worms well (cabbage worms too).

Don't plant sweet corn in the same spot year after year for one.

I too had them bad last year and read up on it and I think this is the reason.

I see ,,@Jstpssng just mentioned this too

We always practice crop rotating for the families of veggies. Nightshades, cucurbits, brassicas and beans, corn. It keeps diseases down.
