Swartz wide front on 3010

I'm going to be looking at a 3010 next week that has a Swartz wide front end. I know there have been a lot of Swartz wide fronts used over the years but I am unfamiliar with them myself. Are these good or bad or??? What should I look at or be aware of? Any common problems? Thanks.

The schwartz front ends weren't as strong as the factory ones, but for average use they were ok. I would not recommend one for a loader application. I would look it over carefully for signs of previous breaks with patched up welds or bent spindles. If everything looks straight and the tires are worn evenly, you should be ok.
