Anyone put a suspension seat on a basic model TC tractor? If it's not going to cost me a grand to put one on my TC40 I would like to do it.

Does New Holland offer a suspension seat for the TC? If so is it mechanical or air? If you are looking for aftermarket suspension seats make sure you get all the specs on them before you buy. Some seats sit so high because of the suspension system you will sit way too high and if you have a cab or canopy you will find out the problem fairly quick.

Yep. Occasionally, I have to adjust the seat based on the terrain, e.g., bouncing around a pasture is different than spreading stone in a riding ring, but other than that, they're effective.dknarnd said:

They work well. My 2002 TC40D's seat had a knob at the bottom to adjust the tension on the seat. It broke in the first three months, was replaced under warranty, they broke again two months after warranty expired. I just adjusted it with a wrench and now I don't ever adjust it. Seems a bit under-engineered (with the plastic knob slipping over a drift pin), but I do weigh 240 lbs so maybe I'm bigger than what they designed it for?
