Surveyor Job Opening

Since we've had a number of postings about survey issues, I thought this might be appropriate....or at least amusing.

Now what kind of friend would sit there snapping pictures while you grease the Carharts at full speed?

There must be something wrong with me because I can't stop chuckling as I look at those pictures. That man's got moves. I hope someone let him the truck before he got tired.

Good one Champy! I wonder who was taking the pics and where they were. I know it is a bear and they are dangerous but isn't s/he so cuddly looking?

One of the 5 or 10 most dangerous animals on the planet. If I find out later who took the pics I'm gonna want to know why he wasn't attempting to help (if he's in or near a vehicle) or moving away if he's on foot too. That fellow appears to be one tiny slip on the ice away from a gruesome death.

This situation reminds me of that joke about wearing running shoes in bear country. The camera man doesn't have to out run the bear, he just has to out run his buddy.

Talk about pucker factor...just seeing that series of pics puts that pucker factor way up high.

I'm with LMTC, if whoever took those pics was in a postition to help and he didn't for the sake of the pics...and the fellow running did in fact survive...the camera man better be looking over his shoulder cause that running dude has very definate "Probable Cause".

All the bear wanted was the beef jerky in the guys pocket Some people should teach their kids to share and this whole chase would have been avoided

I do like these animals. My daughter and I were watching the polar bear at the Buffalo zoo swimming all day Saturday. Every time we went by he was swimming away and playing in the water (can't blame him as it was hot). Watching a bear swimming on his back is ammusing. I didn't get a pic of the polar bear but I did get his neighbors pic (a Spectacle bear)

There is an element of Darwin Award here.
I can't tell from the picture if the camera man was in a position to help or not. But in that neighborhood it seems to me there would be some rifles around if required.

He is apparently a professional film maker or videograhper. The give away is, the tripod has a tilt/pan video head on it. And judging by the size, he is no amateur.

He probably films animals, and close encounters are part of the job.

Ahaa, well I just fell hook line and sinker for the "Surveyor Job opening" thing. So, he was prolly there taking pics of the bears huh, that makes a lot more sense, but even so, that pucker factor shore does come into play when I look at those pics. I pinched a hunk a cotton outta my computor chair the first time I looked at 'em

That bear might think that the runner is beef jerky on the hoof

Yeh - you caught me - it was a videograper.........I just thought it was funnier as a job posting ad for a surveyor given all the recent noise on the board about surveys; neighbors; etc....
