I'm in desperate need of a new 5-gallon diesel can.

Today at Lowe's I saw the new SureCan fuel can: SureCan l World's Best Gas Can. The can has a trigger handle on the top and a flexible spout on the bottom. It seems I should be able to set the can on the hood of my tractor (MF-1540) and bend the spout into the fuel tank. There's a review or two on line that says it works great. I need to find one in yellow for diesel as the local store carries only the red ones.

Has anyone here used one yet?

I saw them in the store. Looks like a great design, but kinda expensive. I don't know how they are in 'real life' though. Would like to know as well.

You don't mention the price.
Are they plastic?
My plastic cans only last about 5 to 7 years, even stored inside.
I've one metal can of my Grandfather's that must be 60 years old, I've had it for 40.
Based on the metal vs plastic I've 3 of the Justrite cans gotten at $45@ due to this thread from 2014.
They have a nice pouring spout, all metal except for gakets, and work VERY well. I should have bought more.
I've also got a couple of green Nato Jerry can style for about $30@.

As I remember, the two gallon can was about $35.

Really only 5 years? I have some that I just keep in an open shed that I know I hav been using 5 years and others that are easy 10-15 years old?

I just coddle my old style Blitz cans. All the new ones are junk

this is what I have been doing and buying replacement spouts and vent kits to convert old junk cans to normal vented ones

I've got a couple plastic cans that I got in the late 1970's.
