What do you pay for SUDT per gallon?

Here in Vermont it costs just about $15 a gallon. A 5 gallon pail costs $74.32 plus tax.

Just bought mine for upcoming 50 hr service. Dealer talked me out of super first (said it cost twice as much) and sold me regular UDT, 2.5 gal jug for $24 plus 2 qt @ $2.50 ea. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Total $29 plus tax for 2.75 gal. I returned the UDT for Super UDT the next day - twice as much? - not nearly /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Bought 3 - 1 gal jugs of Super UDT @ $13.75 ea. Total $41.25 plus tax. Difference totalled just $12.25 plus tax and I got an additional 2 qt of Super UDT.

Cost per gal of UDT - $10.55

Cost per gal of Super UDT - $13.75

From what I've been able to find, that's a pretty good price.

I just carried out my 900 hour service last week. Went to my dealer only to find that he had stopped carrying Super UDT. He said that no one would pay the price for the Super but he still carried the Kubota UDT and a look-alike UDT from another manufacturer. He said that nearly all of his farmer customers used the look-alike but I can't remember the prices. That's what happens when you get old!!!!!! I ended up using the Kubota UDT. I'm not sure what the difference is between the Super and UDT. Maybe someone out there will know.

You guys are getting a deal on the super UDT. In Washington, GA it is16.69 per gallon and 78.40 for a 5 gallon container and slightly higher than that in Augusta, GA.

Super UDT is better in colder climates. I found that to be true with my B7510 over my last B7500 when I worked them moving snow. Super seems to be smoother and "thinner" in the cold. That is for what it is worth. Maybe I'm just dreaming it.

I figured that while my B7510 is under warranty, I would use the Super UDT as specified in the manual by Kubota. Did my 50 hour last weekend. Twenty bucks isn't worth the hassle with Kubota under warranty for me. Several dealers tried to push other brands of fluids when I was checking prices. "It's all the same". None carried Super. Even the dealer I bought the tractor from doesn't carry Super UDT. He said I should use regular UDT and Kubota wouldn't care. "Why the !@#$ do they put it in their newer models, then?" Kinda funny when the other Kubota dealer up the street said the older machines can use both, but the newer ones can't use regular UDT. Supossedly he has had customers with "slipping" problems that used regular instead of Super in their newer models. Cluth or hydr styles I do not know. Who knows. Could be B.S., too. Like I said... the lousy 20 bucks more for Super UDT puts my mind at ease. Let Kubota check out my fluid and do a test on it when it goes out under warranty. Then they can tell me "you could have used regular UDT". Right now I've been waiting over a week to get other answers out of Kubota. I didn't have that time before my service, either.

In NE PA I paid $4.65 for an oil filter, $14.35 for a Gal and $35.75 for 2.5 gals of Super UDT.

in Sept '04 for SUDT I paid 14.96 for a gallon and 71.93 per 5gal pail.
I didn't dicker, for the amount I need I figure the dealer has to eat and pay his bills at the end of the day just like I do.
I checked TSC for filter prices and they are essentially the same as the dealer. I'll give my business to the dealer, he has been there when I needed him, he always answers my questions in a pleasant manner whether I'm spending or just asking.

I PAID $101.50 FOR 5 GALLONS!!!

yeah i know thats crazy but i like buying locally. i have compared the physical properties of super UDT to mobile's 424. specs are very similar. but with these synthetics it seems that the additives vary greatly. so i opted to stay with the super UDT. after changing the oil @ 50hrs, it appeared that regular UDT came from the dealer. i quickly noticed a smoother transmission feel, and much less transmission "wine" with the super UDT.

I believe we had regular UDT in our L3130. I noticed some difference in the hydraulics after the 50 hr service and refilling with Super UDT. It's still not a barn burner concerning the fel rollback power, but it's slightly better than it was.
