OK, so this has been a great tractor since 1999. However, it seem to get progressively harder to operate the three point lift, especially when my shredder is attached (heavy). The lift lever is super stiff and not smooth at all. The front end loader lift works very well though.

Is there anything I can do such as lube or grease something that will make the three point hitch lift and lower more smoothly. It's a bear right now!

Thank you.

Usually on the 3 point lever, there are a couple of friction plates that maintain the lever position. Some will allow for adjustment by tightening or loosening a couple of nuts that adjusts the spring pressure.

Maybe yours just got a bit too dry or got rust over time, thus makes it too stiff. You can try either disassemble these friction plates to clean or maybe just shot a bit of WD-40 or something like that.
