Today we got 10-12 inches of that white stuff. I plowed this morning and I will have to again in the morning.

My wife does the camera shooting. I tell her to take lots of pic because someday all I will have are my memories. But I plan on having lots of fun everyday.

Two Guns: If you were here with your RTV I would have to drive it for you because you would never leave the warm house.LOL

how are the tracks operating for you? Was the installation easy?

The installtion is pretty basic and straight forward. The only technical part was whe one of the installers had to measure 2, 1/8". It takes time so just don't be in any hurry. From the way the rep from Soucy explained it to me, is they world go anywhere to install tracks. Including Barrow, Ak.
They work really good and because of their construction (steel) you don't have to be worried about breakage when hitting a stone or ice.

Are these tracks always on or can you change out to tires still? If you don't mind could you post some more infor or a website to the company who makes them or any other brands that make tracks for the RTV (I would assume Mattracks makes some also). Also, if you could, either in a PM or here if you don't care, what is the rough cost of these tracks and the overall cost of your RTV.

The reason I ask is that I am wondering how well they would handle the mud I have here. The ground looks solid but then it opens up and swallows machines with a pure black muck. It creates a terrible suction on wide body vehicles so if I can float across the ground the better.

Where abouts are you located in Northern NY? Us Western New Yorkers are having a lunch this spring in the Batavia area (right off the 90) and if you and any of the other Northerners want to come you are more then welcome and I know Frank15 will be happy as if we get more then 10 people he pays for everyones meal:D

Anyway, enjoy the snow, I am sure with your machine you look forward to the snow (can you ride the snow mobile trails with the RTV on tracks?).

I can run tracks year round or change back to tires. Takes about 1 1/2 hours to do so. They are made by Système de chenilles – Entreprise qui conçoit des systèmes de traction en caoutchouc pour les véhicules à chenilles – Soucy Track in Drummondville Quebec, Canada. When their company rep was here to let me demo an RTV 900 I invited a neighbor who has a Ranger. One places that I went thru had some of that black slithy mud. The RTV sank in 1" and the Ranger bottomed out but made it thru with the mud just a flying. The Ranger owner asked that if there was another way out then he wanted to take it. I went thru it 2 more times with no problems.
I am located 20 miles from the border in a little town called Norwood. If I were to come for lunch Frank has to pay the fuel one way also.I will send you a PM

Well, you will have to ask Frank about paying for your fuel. It was like pulling teeth just to force him to let me ride with him:rolleyes: :D
