Sump screen Can they be found locally? mine was JB welded in PICS

Sump screen Part number

Well i pulled the sump screen and it was pretty clogged on the bottom,... mine is a t4 and i am pretty sure they are the same as the T5. Terramite gives the part number part number EZ-Flow P/N 6942, but i am unable to find anything on the net about it. Is there anywhere that would sell them locally? or cross reference to another screen At frist i thought someone jb welded it together but now i am thinking that is was not supposed to come apert. I am kinda in a hurry I moved the machine over to the wives side of the garage to change the oil and i am pretty sure its going to snow by monday....

Do a search for a company called flow ezy. They have many different strainers and can even make custom strainers. Check with your local Napa or tractor dealer, they may be able to help as well. If nothing else you could always jb weld that one back together.

That is where i have been looking. the inside of my tank has some sludge on the bottom so i need to clean it out first. I found this one Strainers | MSCDirect.com I am not sure what the mesh size, or gmp should be but this one is the closest. The length is right on at 5.4, but i am not sure if the dia. that the list is it o.d or i.d the o.d of mine is 1.5 but the i.d is 1.0. I guess I will call terramite Monday and see if they will release some info, and not try to sell me a filter for $40+$20 shipping when i can get it for $18 shipped everywhere else.

That strainer looks very similar to those found in hydraulic tank applications. You might get lucky trying out hydraulic equipment suppliers.

Is there a recommended cleaning interval for those strainers? No sense in draining the tank and taking stuff apart unless there's a need.
But if it slows the system on my machine down, it would be worth it.

Check out the ink for some info - it might help.

I am pretty sure its every 300 hours when you change hyro fluid and filter.

Yes terramite recommends to clean it every 300 hours. When I first got my machine I changed the fluid, put a new filter on and cleaned the screen. I don't think the previous owner ever cleaned the screen because it was really dirty and it couldn't be letting the oil pass thru it like it should. I let it soak in gasoline for a little while, and then blew it out with compressed air and it looked like new again. It is a good idea to take a little extra time to do it.

No I didn't clean the inside of the oil reservoir. Probably not a bad idea though. Just make sure you get all the cleaner out before you refill with oil so you don't contaminate the system.
