Your attachment shows the light mounted to the under side of the top cross bar of the Rops.
Most people attach the light there or on the top of the bar.

My plan is attach the magnets to the rear of this bar.

Those magnets do give you a lot of options. I installed them under the ROPS since I have low trees and since I'm not that tall, so there's no danger of my head hitting them. The BX23 has a tall ROPS.

Since I first put them on, I'm considering using the magnets to mount a 1" square aluminium bar, and then mounting the lights onto the bar. If I do that, I might do the same as you, and mount the magnets behind the ROPS

I'd use simple, cheap hose clamps. That's how I attached a safety screen to the ROPS on my B7510HST.
