suggestions for add on trailer sides

I have one of these:

4.5 x8', sides are 1' high. I'd like to have some higher sides occasionally, especially if they could be waterproof.
Should I just put stake pockets on it or are there any more clever ideas?

I think the stakes would give you the most flexibility and ease of installing the additional sides.
