Suggestions for a diesel fuel filter element for a JD400?

My tractor won't start (it's been about a year). It cranks solid, but not even a puff to show combustion. Manual suggests the fuel line/filter could have a blockage. Before pulling it apart, I'd like to get a replacement filter, but I haven't had any luck finding one via my google searches.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried searching based on the engine? TractorData shows it has a Kohler 19.9hp 2 cylinder engine. I'm pretty confident it's a simple inline filter, with 1/4" ends. Could be wrong though.

If you're referring to a JD 400 tractor with diesel powered engine the JD part # for the fuel filter is AT17387. That part # can be cross referenced to other brand of fuel filters shown in photo below. Be sure to get filter orientated correctly & each seal in correct location
