Boy I wish I had more time and a real nicely jacked up mini truck (gasser) to blow the doors off all of em. :) JUST KIDDING but it woudl have been a nice test for them.

My current situation I would be happy with any of them (since I still do not have one yet).

I am not too worried about them being top heavy since I am in the old lake bed around Lake Erie where everything is flat. So unless I drive it sideways into a steep ditch (where I shouldn't be) I should be ok.

I do love the looks of the Browning edition Polaris Ranger.

Darin, they had a Consumer Imports mini truck there also and tested it along side all the other UTV's. It rated fifth for braking but for some reason they gave it a 3.8 out of 5 for storage when this truck has more storage then any UTV on the market. Fit and finish and Rider comfort is what killed the overall rating on the mini truck. I was surprised to see a mini truck though and yet Kubota couldn't provide a test vehicle:confused: Take care

I do like it and if Polaris can get the belt problem and motor mount issues taken care of then I will feel better about it.

Then all I would have to do is find someone to fab up a front 2" receiver for it:D

Oh I see. Thanks for the info. Yeah you can't just jump in one and get out real fast and easy liek the others thats for sure. I just looked at the post with the polaris ranger test on youtube from a poster here and that was great. Dang it looked fun. :)

These machines do look like a lot of fun. I like them because I can take my daughter with me easily and have her strapped in with the seatbelt.

I have read about the problem, but with 110 hours on mine, I haven't experienced it first hand yet. I keep my eye on it though.

I was reading on another board dealing with just the Rangers and a lot of guys were happy with their machines but then a belt would go, replace it and it goes 20 hours later. The enging mounts seem to have been a problem but supposedly Polaris had a fix but as of December of last year owners still hadn't received the update. All I know is what I have read so far. The one guy was funny, he replaced two belts, had the broken motor mount and since he fixed everything he has never had a problem and still loves it.

I am not scared of these problems as I don't mind working on equipment if I have to. But I don't want to spend $13k on a UTV and then have to keep taking it to the dealer. When I demo them this spring and if I decide that I want one I will talk to some other owners of them around here and see how theirs are holding up and how the dealer is taking care of them.

The more I see that Browning edition Ranger the more I want it:(

I like that Browning model too. I've been looking them all over and the Ranger seems by far the best mixture of work and fun. The Rhino, Teryx, RZR, Prowler among others I'm sure are more sporty, but the Ranger can definately hang with those off Road. The more work related Kubota's and JD will not. And when it comes to working hard the Ranger can keep up with the Kubota and Deeres while the Rhino's and RZR's and others can't hold a candle.

The Ranger is pretty much smack dab in the middle. It can work well and play hard. And that Browning model sure looks nice.
