Here are a few pics of a stump I recently dug out w/ my new GC2410. It took a while but I was finally able to get this big boy out of the ground. I have about 18 hours on the new tractor with about 10-12 hours digging out over a dozen stumps. I'm really impressed what this thing can do.

Very Nice. They are amazing little machines. I'm always surprised of the capabilities. I've pulled a similar size stump with my 2310. There is something very gratifying when it breaks loose. Were you able to get it out of the hole? I was lucky because mine was on a hill and I could pull it out from the side. I don't think I would of been able to lift it out. Congratulations on your new tractor. You will have hours and hours of fun.

I agree. It was a great feeling when I could see the stump starting to break free.

The stump was to big to lift out with the backhoe. I could move it around in the hole a little bit, but it just couldn't get it out of there. So I put a nylon tow strap around the bucket (before my recently added chain hook), lifted it a bit with FEL and backed it out (heading down hill). That did the trick.

However, then my wife suggested that we use that giant hole I created as burn pit for all these stumps and brush we have been clearing off our property. So back in it went, and it is now just a pile of ashes.

Ah, you have one of those "Work smarter not Harder" wives. I would of claimed that idea as my own.

That's a great idea - and sounds like a perfect Spring project: dig -> dump -> burn -> repeat.

Although not as grand in size as some others, here's a trip down memory lane to one of the first I pulled after getting my tractor. I wanted to be sure that my wife saw the evidence of just how handy it is to have a Bro-Tek thumb, too. :D

I'll enjoy using the snow blower - maybe next week - but there is nothing to compare to the feeling of successfully digging out a stubborn old stump....
