Just thought I'd show what I've been doing to get these out. The dozer is on the light to medium range (15,000 lbs 70 hp) but my soil is all sandy loam with some clay below.

The first shot is one for reference. I wear a size 12 so this one is about 16" and is at least 2 years old.

Putting some pressure on the top while lifting and watching to not spin the tracks. You can see it starting to give.

The final product. I didn't have a tape measure but I'd guess it to be about 6-7 feet in total length. The older stumps that have started to dry out will usually burn with black smoke for a couple of days. I've got an estimated 50-75 of these to deal with but I'm going to hire my neighbor with his track hoe to pop the rest.
