Either that or the Russia bots are sowing discord this morning.

AI is already programming them… through the little devices they hold in their hands. Carefully curated content. It is true there is no truth to them anymore, because their truth and world view is carefully constructed by an algorithm. Again, the designers of this technology have a great documentary, and it is eye opening.

FWIW my sons Earth Sciences prof told his class on the first day, yesterday, that it will be the only day she lectures. 😂 We are going on 6 classes now, where this is the status quo. He is only 14, so he only takes two accelerated 8 week courses per semester. Heroes I tell ya… in the trenches!

Then what's the point of having such a professor at all? Just to press the play button? Well then, it’s really better to entrust such computer science training to specialists who will create a good training program. And to start a program it is not at all necessary to have a professor’s degree.

Especially if tutors and writers from https://edubirdie.com/computer-science-help can point you in the right direction. I think we need more such specialists so as not to get a monopoly.

Don't confuse content with programming. Programming has many different types and can be directed towards many different applications (use). Including AI technologies.

Content is directed towards a specific use model, and is interpreted within a context. That context can be ever changing, especially so with human consumption. At least those not suspect of confirmation bias.

It really cracks me up when people who post multiple times(hundreds?)that the MSM can’t be trusted. “If the LSM posts a story it must really be the opposite”. Etc.

Then the second they see a lame stream media story that supports their belief they posting that thing all over TBN like it’s the Gospel. lol

Does he like the outdoors plus the excitement and gratification of law enforcement?

Does not pay as much, but some say more dangerous.

Anyhow, good for him. (y)

That’s an interesting option and I’ll throw that one at him too. That job could be good in the popular fisheries and some of the better areas of the state. Certain areas of the state are a bit of a joke on DNR enforcement though. The area of the UP I’ve hunted for years will have only one CO responsible a very large area, and some of the locals (like my cousin that lives there) seem to know where that person will be for the day.

That's funny. I've never been checked by an Indiana CO in the 46 years that I've had to have a fishing license. I've fished in Michigan maybe 30 times in that same 46 years and have been checked maybe 15 times! Especially when ice fishing. 🙃

There are allegedly 214 COs in Indiana. I saw one a few years ago. I was fishing in a canoe. Had 3 poles out. He went over and made 2 kids on inner tubes go back to shore, and gave two ladies in kayaks tickets for no life preservers. Never came closer than a few hundred yards from me.

I bought a lifetime comprehensive Indiana fishing license in 1999. I've been hoping to show it to a CO ever since. :ROFLMAO:

Growing up cities and counties just didn’t have many on the water patrols…

Of course there was always the Coast Guard even well inland Lake Tahoe has a US Coast Guard station.

Last time I was on the water it was surprising to number of instances of law enforcement both at the access road, launch site and on the water.

I asked one at the launch about it and he said lots of impaired boating accidents from drinking is why.

They also check registration, safety gear and safe operation and now operators are being licensed which is new.

At least my old 1950’s boat predates the occupancy certificate!

I have one child in a masters program and another child in undergrad and they say the same things. Put on a movie and the professor sits and reads his I-phone.

So it’s not just him hearing that.

This is sad commentary and hard to imagine. I would hope there would be some engagement and discussion. I know that i’d be pissed off if I went to a class to just watch something that I could have streamed at home.
