Beautiful... looks like a park.
If you ever make it out to MO, I will still have a spot or 2 to use.... You'd just be a lot closer to more of my critters than right now. Full hookups with 50/30 amp.
Right at the lake shore with good fishing.

😉 Sounds like a lot of the country during January. My last visit to New England was in April during mud season, after the snow and before the black flys and mosquitoes.
Ahh! Mud season. If you haven't been high centered 1/8th mile from home, you just can not understand.

Good rule is to collect interest, not pay it. Unless it's to make more money or buy a reasonable home.
Curious, I was having a discussion with a friend about "interest". He was entirely OK with collecting a "Fair amount".

I challenged, Just what would "fair" be?
I challenged again with " how would you measure the return on an "all boats are lifted by a rising tide" outcome?

Entire human groups oppose usery. ... and appear to prosper.

Yeah, there are a lot of opinions and options.

Indiana is actually finally discussing canceling the state income tax….

I have a feeling that like all good bureaucrats do, that discussion will get quashed quite quickly!
Oklahoma is looking at removing theirs too.

If a sparsely populated state like SD can run without income taxes, they all can.

This will be interesting. Unless the state government plans to spend less money (ha) they need to raise other revenue sources.

Property taxes seem to be the go to source.

My understanding is OK currently has one of the lowest property taxes in the country.

I also would like to see more on why university and college education costs so much. I would think with all of the remote learning technology (Zoom, Teams, etc.) that we would start to see a decrease in cost. I know remote learning didn't work so well for K-12, but by the time a person gets to college they should have the discipline to do it. To heck with the "college experience". I also think there should be more of a separation of research university functions from education functions, particularly at the undergraduate level. That might allow more accountability on costs.
One reason is because they feel the need to build monuments to themselves

My beef is fuel, which for a sustained period WAS UP ~100% from 2109.
THAT is completely unacceptable and the primary reason food is up.

Bro, don’t even try to refute me. I buy more fuel in a year than you buy in 20 years. Its a huge expense for us and we track it like a hawk, so save it, K?

Did you mean 2009 or 2019, because 2109 has not occured yet for me.
Regardless, gas prices were higher before the Covid induced price depression.

I’d rather pay higher tax on my income, than tax on my property.

I’m not exactly a high income earner, but I do possess wealth.

If I get in a jam and my income goes down, the state or county still get their percentage of tax on whatever I earn.
If I run so low on money that I can’t pay my property taxes, at least I can’t lose my home/farm/property.

Fortunately, for me, I live in a state that has low income tax and low property tax, but it seems like you can’t fart without somebody trying to tax you and it’s getting old

Dude, give it up. You’re talking in circles 🙃
We agree food isn’t up 100% and I never said that, for the umpteenth time. :ROFLMAO:

You are honing in on one exaggerated claim.

Is it just me or do feel the need to constantly defend this crappy economy? ;)
The economy isn't crappy. It's booming again.

It's not one or the other. Sales tax is a better option. Fiscal responsibility is the best option. Spend money efficiently.
