Did these guys burn up their winch like it looks or is their excuse that water was steaming off of the radiator stand up. If it was water I would expect it to be steaming the entire time. However, it appears to only smoke when he is trying to winch the Ranger out of the mud hole. These kids really do look like this is the first time they have played in the mud.

Any utv would have a rough time in that hole at that speed.

That doesnt look like steam to me.

That is one deep hole. But I agree if it were steam it would have been coming off it right about the time he stopped not conveniently when he started winching.

I tend to think that they done something to their winch. That thing was struggling to get that Ranger out of that hole. They may have gotten a "good deal" on an ATV winch thinking it would handle the Ranger.

I was thinking the same thing, save a few dollars but pay for it when you finally need it:(

Skip, I didn't mean to imply that was an easy hole to drive thru. It was just from their hesitation to even attempt to go thru there and then their hesitation when the finally tried to go thru. They just didn't look comfortable.

Of course those tires didn't help them any as they plugged right up immediately.

I see that with a roller fairlead and pulling at an angle, all the wire went on one side and jammed up from being full on one side. Somebody should make a LEVEL WIND for these like on a fishing reel
and he should have taken the HIGH ROAD like his buddy did LOL
:)

I understand. :) Once your committed you need to hit it hard.. I can't knock there driving, I've been in similar situations.
I've learned about the cheap winchs, I had a 3500lb gorilla that was a poor performer to say the least.
