Lifting the front tires also worked on my t2310.

Trying driving forward and backwards while maintaining pressure on the shift lever. If that doesn't work try lifting the front wheels with the loader.

This is what I do.

Very light constant pressure or sporadic light pressure pulses then drive it forward and or reverse until I find the sweet spot.

Once I find that spot the lever doesn't need much pressure at all, basically falls in and out of 4wd

On my NH T2310, I've found that if I push or pull withe a crisp SNAP, it goes in or out just fine.
