I think this has been on before, but is worth another look. That's one stuck excavator!

That looks like an incident that happened here in Lake Charles, La.
If my info is correct, the manager of an equipment rental company lent this almost new machine to a buddy, so he could dig a boat ramp on his property, which bordered Prien lake. Inexperienced operator who did not use mats, got stuck and the tide came in. Made the local paper a couple of times during the course of the recovery. Don't remember the final dollar amount, but I think the track hoe was totaled, due to salt water, neighbors lawn (VERY upscale neighborhood!) was heavily damaged moving in heavy winch trucks, and other equipment. Manager of rental co. also searching for another job.
