I've settled on Duluth Trading company "Fire Hose" for my work/around the house pants. Roomy cargo pockets, heavy duty, wide belt loops to hold my web belts.
They HAD made a "logging/heavy brush" pant that was ideals for walking through thick brambles and thorn trees, but that was discontinued apparently. I only got 2 pair

I do like the “ Dry on the Fly pants “ , I tend to wear them for doctor visits etc. (kind of like rural formal wear).
I liked their cargo shorts when they fit my lifestyle. They used to offer a size (14" inseam) that covered my knee, helped when I kneeled down on pavement, concrete etc. But that was discontinued.
