What's with the several postings listing sports streaming, showing
up in various thread categories? These are the ones I've seen in
today's postings:

I copied the thread tittles without reading them because
they seem suspicious! I also saw a few yesterday but
didn't copy the thread names at the time.

Looks like we are being spammed hey

Is there a good way to report them?

I reported it to the administration yesterday. I suggest clicking on the black triangle at the bottom of your post to do the same. the more it's noted the sooner, hopefully it can be eradicated. Man do I HATE spam and the holes who bring it.:censored::punch:

Click on the blue V at the top right of the post. It will pop up three options. Share, Quote, Report. Click report and then it will make you type out why you are reporting it,

I've been reporting them using the little 'triangle with an exclamation mark', found at the bottom-left of all posts.

I simply write SPAM, then send the report.

That is the best way to do it if using the website.
I THINK the spammers are mostly banned at this point.

Just click on the "Report Post" icon and someone will get rid of them...

Would it be possible to make a rule that new members cannot start a thread until they have a posting history? It seems like the spammers have a MO where they create a new account and then start new threads.

That seems like a very good idea.

They've also posted as replies to threads. The management is working on it. Just report the posts as you see 'em. ;)

Yes, spammers do that, but so what? Their thread quickly falls.
I do see a lot of legitimate 1st timers who probably were searching the internet for information on a tractor related topic, they find TBN, and their first post is a legitimate specific question.
A newbie may not have anything to contribute until they have a question.

Interesting to see that the streamed games have been Super Rugby (Union) games. The 'Super' part is just the name of the league (South Africa/Australia/New Zealand).

And there're different codes/versions of football down here: Rugby Union (the original game), Rugby League (a modified version), Australian Rules Football (a different game entirely), soccer (a 'diving' sport, as far as I can tell)...

I just SPAM the lot.

That's a valid point. Almost everyone starts out with a question of some sort.

One thing that might work is to prohibit posting links for a while.

So what do the spammers get out of pushing these live streaming venues?
Google sees links to their spam site on a reputable site which increases the likelihood that someone searching for live streaming will hit their site. They probbaly serve a lot of ads and some malware on those sites, but not much streaming video.

Limiting links for new posters seems like a novel idea.
I've reported 2 threads today.
