Strange things found in the forest

Well call me trusting or old fashioned, but I carry a tow cable and still offer help to folks.
However I always lay down my terms and simply say that I will not accept responsibility for possible damage.
As option I offer to call a towing on my cell.
So far, so good and usually I get them unstuck.

Heck I towed the Fedex guy and next day they sent me a thank you gift. That was class!

I was out working in the back on my tractor and saw two guys making their way through the brush... they were startled by me... I called out to them and asked what they were doing... said they were into nature and grew up here... well I knew the second part was a lie.

Told them to be careful as there were Mountain Lions... not 100% true.

No cell service so I was on my own...

Later that night I was driving into town and saw police down the road... the house had been burgled... money, jewelry and digital camera taken... stuff you could easily carry.

I have other stories from other places... just glad I was able to put enough fear into them so they left.

Pistols are not really an option in the city limit... so I always try to be alert because you never know who you will meet in the woods...

When I was about 13 I found a god coin. Soaked it in vinegar & soon it looked like new.

I also tell the person I am about to pull that THEY hook the tow strap up to their vehicle.
