Strange JD tractor..little help please

Hey guys, I need some expert help on a strange JD 5400. I'm not getting many responses in the JD forum so I thought I'd post here to see if I can get more eyes on it. Here is a link to the post:

That JD 5400 was manufactured from 1992-97. It has a 3-cyl JD-made diesel rated at 60hp (pto). TractorData says it was built in Georgia. Don't know why it has Chinese lettering.
