STOU or TOU oil for my 7274 Cub Cadet ???

My manual says to use STOU or TOU oil in my 7274 Cub Cadet (with FEL) gear type transmission. What is this stuff ? It doesn't give a weight or anything else, only the letters. Can I buy an equivalent oil at Tractor Supply ?

FL Viscosity Oil Company is the manufacturer of the Cub Cadet fluid if I'm not mistaken. They manufacturer for companies like Visconorust, Cub Cadet, Case-Akcela, New Holland-Ambra and Link Belt.

From what I have found it is nothing more than a UTF fluid. The STOU and TOU is kind of like Kubota with their SUDT and UDT fluids. One is their standard and one is their premium.

Diesel Power, do you that the Ambra is as good as Shell's universal hydraulic fluid as you find it in Wal Mart? I am not seeking some type of controversy on this, just want to know your opinion. At present I can buy the Ambra from my NH dealer cheaper than I can buy the Shell. Thanks for any input there.

I can't say I have seen the spec sheet on the NH Ambra UTF but I suspect it's just as good a quality as the Shell UTF. Most name brand off the shelf UTF's are fairly decent. I would place them as mid-grade, not the cheap stuff but also not premium.
