Story behind the song "I drive your truck"

Tomorrow, Nov 11th, many of us will take the time and/or participate in various functions to honor and remember our veterans. Additional to thanking my fellow veterans, I thought I would pass this story along.

If you have heard the song "I drive your truck" by Lee Brice, you may not know that there is a poignant story behind the song. Rather than posting a lead, I suggest doing a search on the "story behind the song I drive your truck". Multiple leads come up, some longer and more indepth than others.

interesting... thanks for posting. I really like that song.

For some reason, I thought it was supposed to be his father that had passed in the song. I also didn't know it had anything to do with a military death. I don't know if I missed something in the song, or maybe I need to see the video to understand it.
