I was wondering how wide I need to make a drive so a tractor and square baler can cross a ditch. I need to make 2 ditch crossings so the farmer that is haying next year can get equipment over the ditches easily.

The pipes come in 20' sections and I was thinking 10' might not be enough space.

Thanks for any help.

I bought a 12 inch x 24 ft culvert for my trail and cut it in half. The two 12 foot sections work pretty good for this.

Depends how deep the ditch and diameter of the culvert as to what width you end up with when finished. Assuming your not building a head wall at each end.
About the only way to maintain the whole 10 feet is to build headwals on each end of the culvert. You can do that easily though by dry stacking bags of Sacrete.( I think Eddie did some this way with nice results) Ask your neighbor if 10 feet is wide enough for the equipment he will be using.
