I was thinking of putting casters on skids to store and move my toys around. I was wondering does any of you guys have any Ideas about caster type ,brand, weight rating. Also how to make a device for a backhoe. Any and all ideas welcome, Thanks guys...Trying to make it easier on me cause of lung problems.

======

I started out at Home Depot buying a couple of those furniture dollies. They cost about $20.00 but are probably a few buck more now days. They are rated a 1000 lbs a piece. The first thing I did was sheet the middle or open area with 3/4 hardwood like the rails of the furniture dollie or scrap 3/4" plywood. They were so darn handy I have added to the original pair and probably have half dozen. Obvioiusly, you need a concrete floor for storage when using this method.

They are great for my backhoe and an added benefit is that you can move the equipment slightly to line up when installing. That was the hardest part of reloading a backhoe so far as alliogning an inanimate backkhoe exactly as it requires. My rear snowblower resides aboard a pair of those dollies for the summer,

Cheap dollies for me as well from TSC. Makes moving boxblade simple as long as there isn't a lot of mud clods on the concrete. Then they won't roll at all.

Bob I had no idea the rake weighed that much. Guys, I have some of those dolly's and I didn't think they would last long term. I do have a 42" snow blower on 2 of them.
