I'm about to take my backhoe off my CK30 for the winter and was wondering how to stored it properly. Do you full retract all the cylinders including the outriggers? And the cylinders that can't be fully retracted are they covered in oil or grease?

Woods wants me to put it on wood blocks and take the pressure off the cylinders. Greasing anything exposed makes a lot of sense to me.

When does your ground freeze up there? I figure I have just over a month more of digging here in New England.

I set my outriggers and main boom on the ground, relieve all the pressure and grease or oil all exposed cylinders to prevent rusting/pitting..

I just pin mine up and leave it on the tractor. Probably tough on the tires as I only move it every once in a while during the winter. So far I have not noticed any problems.
