That's not surprising for someone who doesn't do casseroles.

But chicken (or turkey) a la king is one of my favorite ways to use left over chicken or turkey. You simply chop up the meat in bite size or smaller pieces (boned, of course), make a sauce or gravy with a little flour, a little broth, a little milk, a little butter, some salt & pepper, add a can of mushroom bits & pieces (or chop your own), and a jar of chopped pimentos, add the meat, heat and serve on toast. Delicious.
Of course you can just buy a can of chicken a la king at the supermarket where the soups are, open a can, heat and serve, but it just isn't as good as what I make at home.
