I try to keep my tractor in the barn when I can, but its been sitting outside for over a year now. Sometimes it gets under the lean-to roof on the side of the barn, but not often lately. It will be ok.

Actually, no. Just a personal philosophy, unknown to me that it also happened to be the CG motto as well. My dad studied Latin in school, and at my request, we discussed phrases in Latin that fit my personality, and came up with Seper Paratus. Ive always carried a Leatherman and small flashlight since high school, and had the mental ability to 'just deal with it', no matter what came up. About 10 years later, I has it tattoo'd on my shoulder, and a few years after that, was asked for the first time if I was CG. Until then, I didn't know it was the CG motto.

All my respect to thoes who serve, I'm proud to share the motto, and mean no disrespect by doing so. I appreciate all who have served our country, and looking back now, think that joining one of the branches of the armed services would have served me well. It's taken 20+ years of adult life to build my level of self-discipline to its current state, it likely would have been fast-tracked had I joined.

I used a car cover while I was building the carport.
Tarps work but they retain moisture and mold grows.

As mentioned, the sun does more damage than rain typically.

Have a 2N ford (1944) that hasn't spent 100 days of it's life under cover & still runs & works just fine.
Weather checked tire (one side) has been in the sun for over 25 years that I know of & still don't leak.
Other side 15+ years.

yea, back in the day, they were built a little different. i dont think today tractors would hold up near as well as the old ones if they had to set out all the time, especially in the midwest. just my opinion

Especially if they have a lot of plastic on them.
