I do not have a proper storage worked out for a tractor. Any suggestions on temporary storage until I can afford to buy it build something. Thank you.

Despite what many here post, most people store them outside, in the open. They are farm/AG/construction equipment after all.

I suppose I would try and cover the operator controls and the stack (if upright) to protect from rain. Good Luck!

I covered mine with 10x12 heavy duty tarp over hood, controls and seat until spring when I can get better storage setup. My bro bought a shelter logic tarp shed until he builds his barn.
Edit to add: During my commute, I pass by an older tractor backhoe stored under one of those $1095 carports, set on an asphalt drive on the side of the house.

If you are in a benign climate (Hawaii, Southern California, Gulf Coast) a simple canopy should do for a while. Mainly keep the sun off.

Build a simple "pup tent" framework over the tractor. Cover with a tarp. Anchor securely along all edges. Main idea - keep the sun off your tractor.

Thank you. I live in North Georgia. We get 4 seasons but nothing too drastic.

A carport will work fine. A portable garage / carport will work for a while if you anchor it well. For about $500 you can get a garage in a box that will hold up for quite a while.

my rk55 sets under one of those $995 carports. its 10蜘 and 21 long. it is anchored to railroad ties for heigth and to keep the wind from moving it. i also put tarps on the sides to keep rain from blowing in. it work fine. good luck

I try to keep my tractor in the barn when I can, but its been sitting outside for over a year now. Sometimes it gets under the lean-to roof on the side of the barn, but not often lately. It will be ok.

Actually, no. Just a personal philosophy, unknown to me that it also happened to be the CG motto as well. My dad studied Latin in school, and at my request, we discussed phrases in Latin that fit my personality, and came up with Seper Paratus. Ive always carried a Leatherman and small flashlight since high school, and had the mental ability to 'just deal with it', no matter what came up. About 10 years later, I has it tattoo'd on my shoulder, and a few years after that, was asked for the first time if I was CG. Until then, I didn't know it was the CG motto.

All my respect to thoes who serve, I'm proud to share the motto, and mean no disrespect by doing so. I appreciate all who have served our country, and looking back now, think that joining one of the branches of the armed services would have served me well. It's taken 20+ years of adult life to build my level of self-discipline to its current state, it likely would have been fast-tracked had I joined.

I thought it was cool to see it. All good brother.

I used a car cover while I was building the carport.
Tarps work but they retain moisture and mold grows.

As mentioned, the sun does more damage than rain typically.

Have a 2N ford (1944) that hasn't spent 100 days of it's life under cover & still runs & works just fine.
Weather checked tire (one side) has been in the sun for over 25 years that I know of & still don't leak.
Other side 15+ years.

yea, back in the day, they were built a little different. i dont think today tractors would hold up near as well as the old ones if they had to set out all the time, especially in the midwest. just my opinion

Especially if they have a lot of plastic on them.
