Stopping a BX2350 in reverse

In April I took delivery of a new BX2350. Love it! Except when stopping in reverse. Take your foot off the hydro drive slow, fast, or anything in between and you feel like you hit a tree. Whiplash. The only time it seems better is with a slow release of the pedal while going downhill (backing down).

Anyone have a fix? The dealer acknowledged the symptom but had no solution.

I recall reading here that there was an adjustment for that. It may have been for a different color machine, I just don't recall. Maybe try the Kubota forum?

As VABlue said you would probably get more responses in the Kubota forum. But I think I have read somewhere that it is possible to adjust the reverse pedal on kubotas.

What you're experiencing is called dynamic braking. Hydrostatic drive systems have this feature, it's just a question of how agressive it is designed to be. I asked my dealer about this when I test drove my BX2350 and he acknowledged that they are designed this way. My guess is it has something to do with a lawsuit??

My dealer did not offer any suggestions as far as adjustments go.

I have a bx1500 and it works the same. You get used to letting out the peddle gently after time. It is a safety issue.

Never had the problem on my BX23 unless you abrutly take your foot off the pedal.
In that case a forward or reverse stop can be a little jerky
