The LP fuel hood should make that'n stand out like a neon light. Serial # doesn't "compute" with any MF serial listings I have. (too long?) Not sure how all those numbers could appear on the tiny little serial # plate on the dash.

I look at just about every add I run across for Massey's. I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

How does one get away with taking something as big as a tractor?

There is a site work company just outside of Keene, New Hampshire that had a mini excavator on a trailer stolen last fall. I just don't understand how some one could just drive away with something that size and not have some one see it.

I hope they find the missing Massey.

I fear the tractor is going to be parted out and sold off that way.

Quite possible that it was done in broad daylight, with people around, and no real effort to "sneak". The contractor I work for has had back hoes stolen on a couple occasions. A truck will roll up to a jobsite, a couple guys roll out, wave at anyone who's looking, drop the ramps on the trailer, load up, chain down, and drive away. No one suspects a THING. Looks like they're supposed to be there.

A Case-IH dealership near me had a brand new cab tractor stolen the same way a couple of years ago. 2 blocks from a police station. Just off the towns main street and a state highway. Broad daylight on a Saturday afternoon, probably seen by dozens of people driving by, no description from anybody and the last I heard no one has found the tractor. They didn't look unusual so nobody noticed.

I bet it is out on some deer lease somewhere. never to be seen again.

3 years ago we had a pickup, trailer, NEW tractor, loader, box, hog, and P.H.D. stolen from our yard. We got the pickup back about 6 months later...everything else is gone.
Insurance paid for the trailer, tractor package, stiffed us on the tools in the pickup, then refused to renew the policy. WHAT A DEAL !
The coustomer was understanding about the theft, even though it took us 2 more days to gather all the stuff up and delever.

Check on craigslist i saw a massey on there but it didnt say mod 50 but it did say new rear tires
