Kubota 3830 HST, 723 loader, HD QA bucket, 1 remote w/top cylinder
I ordered a 3830, as previously detailed in another thread, around July 8th. The dealer didn't have the machine on his lot, but as I was going on a business trip the next week (14th), I wasn't in a particular hurry and he told me I could probably expect delivery on the 23rd. In fact, when I went in on the 10th to sign the contract, he had located a tractor in Ohio and received a phone call while I was in the office regarding the delivery.

The 22nd rolls around and no tractor. So I call the dealer to inquire how soon it'll be in and get a slightly different story; now he says there was a miscommunication and he didn't really expect that the tractor would be in by the 23rd. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

So now it's the 31st, and he says that he still hasn't received the tractor from the factory, and claims he's been yelling at the Kubota rep about the holdup. To his credit, he did offer to give me a loaner tractor until mine came in, but I suppose the weeds can wait a little longer.

Are these tractors so popular that they are backordered at the factory? I seem to recall reading that one dealer can take a tractor off another dealer's lot if they have a signed sale, so perhaps no dealers in this area actually have a 3830HST on their lots?

Well, I know the compacts sell fast in AL . When we bought the L4330 there was another person asking to buy it. It had just been prepped for us.

My dealer gets new Kubotas in constantly, but he is high volume. Very popular tractors around here. The HST's are harder to get it seems. All the ones I looked at were mainly GST's, with just a few HST's on the dealers lot at one time, they sell fast. Thats out of 60 + Kubotas. Plus, all the other brands he sells.

Plus, I think the tractors all come out of GA now, so shipping may take more time for you.

SageBrush, all the HST's are shipped to my dealer. He never has GST or std. manuals on his lot, those are special order. Here in the foothills where I live, HST has many advantages and it's getting around. Rat

That would make sense, most people around here are gear types. HST will become more popular once people realize they hold up just like the GST. Maybe better, lots more stuff in a GST. Probably a demand thing.

I'll be putting hours on mine this Friday and Saturday. I'm taking back a small field close to the house, about 3 to 4 acres. It needs more of the disc. If it rains, I have plenty of potting to do too, but I hope it stays dry, rather be on the tractor working. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

jlemon,

On July first I was approved for the zero percent financing and told my dealer to get a BX2200 for me. He also found one in Ohio and it was delivered last week. Took over three weeks.

This zero percent thing, along with a high demand for other reasons less defined, sure does have things on back order at the factor from what I understand.

If I were you I would take that loaner tractor. No better incentive for the dealer to fill you order than to get his loaner tractor back.

I doubt that dealers that have tractors on their lots are required to to give them to another dealer if they don't want to. From what I understand they often say I will give you this if you gice me one of those...

Hope you get your tractor soon!

Henro,

My dealer tried to get a B2910 from a dealer close by and he wouldn't trade. My dealer told me that they don't have to trade. When I got mine B2910's were impossible to get it seemed.
