So, I have been looking at/wanting to get one of these weed-eaters. Is anyone on here using the FSA pro weed-eaters? Is it worths the money with the backpack battery? How is the power? I would be using on 3 acres. The biggest thing stopping me is the initial coast for backpack and weed-eater and wondering if it will be as good as my gas one?. The dealer says they are just as strong.

Yes. I am not exactly sure on the difference but the battery weed-eater is lighter. The backpack has a little weight to it but I doing think that would bother me as bad as leaning over a little while weed-eating with the gas one.

Sorry for my spelling. I am not sure why the words change on me sometimes. I have to go back and reread what I typed a bunch of times.🤪

So you too have a dyselix keyboard!

If you are not already invested in a battery system go for it. I'm heavily invested in the DeWalt 20V/Flexvolt line and went with their DCST970B a few years ago.
But I've only read good about the Stihl line.

I have the Milwaukee M18 weedeater so it is not the same thing. I'm sure they are close together on the power side of things. I have found that my Milwaukee is more powerful than my gas one.

i got the Dewalt one a few years ago too. Very strong; like it better than the gas ones. Battery seems to last about 45 minutes. Bought extra batteries to have extras ready to go.

I'm sorry, but for this type of equipment, "Professional" and "Battery" seem to be incompatible in my opinion ... more power in a gas machine. Corded machines are also out. :).

I could be wrong, but I'm sticking with a real engine

They are probably very great machines, but are they the go-tos for Professionals ? That's my thought

I hear ya. That is my thinking too but it is changing as technology gets better. I don't do anything on the professional level. LOL I just like buying professional equipment and spending money😆

WVH1977 - we be thinking alike :)

buying quality is worth it. I may need to start looking at battery stuff ... my next purchase is probably a Milwaukee drill / driver combo set, to replace the old / weak / cheap set
