I had broken some plastic pieces on the housing and chain brake so I replaced them. While doing so I removed the carb and cleaned it. Put it all back together and it started normally and then quit in about 2-3 seconds. It did this 5-6 times. It would never idle on it's own. So I got the service manual and removed the carb again meticulously making sure I reassembled everything correctly and installed the carb correctly. Hoses, lines, electrical, everything by the book. Carb was already properly adjusted but I checked that too.
Now it won't turn over and eventually after many pulls I saw gas spray out of the muffler. So I removed it and I am drying that out at the moment. I guess I flooded the engine but why? Possibly getting no spark. I'll have to check for that next but I have an appointment to keep now.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Every line and every screen and filter is clean and it appears to be ample fuel.
Help. It was running great when I put it away last week.
