Man, for me myself, no way id use that. I saw too many accidents on construction sites from people being sidetracked by headsets while working. Including someone walking behind a D6 that was backing up and he was totally oblivious to it. Luckily the operator wasnt, but it nearly ended up in a nice fistfight.

Im not opposed to running my radio in the tractor cab when out mowing, but i dont use it when working around other people….ever. I want to stay focused.
There are lots of times while working alone where it isn't a huge issue. But working with others it can get dangerous, or at the very least annoying. The carpenter who helped frame my addition is a stickler about safety gear, which is good. I mean he does this for a living and his hearing, eyes and lungs are pretty important. But he would listen to music in his ear muff style hearing protection while working and we would almost have to yell to get his attention. Annoying and yes, potentially dangerous.

I would say the main reason the earmuffs on your helmet are bluetooth capable is for crew communication NOT music listening.

I don’t listen to music. I listen to talk radio. “Crew communications” you say? I can barely get my 2 Amish helpers to wear shoes. LOL

I also need to take phone calls at work because I don’t make enough to hire a sexy blonde to work in my corporate headquarters downtown. lol
I have been chainsawing since I was 10 years old and never wore safety equipment. Took quite a bit of criticism, and rightly so.
Now I go out and buy state of the art safety equipment and what happens? I take criticism. 😂

Can’t frickin win. 🤷‍♂️

BTW: here’s the box they came in with a professional sawyer tuning in his I-phone to his new blue tooth headphones.

Nice. The microphone would drive me nuts, but I like the neck shield.

Communication style forestry helmets are used by some tree crews because the guy cutting the tree top needs to be able to talk with the ground crew to tell them when he's about to drop a limb or that they need to prepare for a heavier piece coming their way, etc. Then they don't have to yell back and forth at each other all day.

I wear a helmet with a mesh face shield and hearing protection when cutting with the front mount cutter on my Power Trac. Don't need the bluetooth feature, but comfort is important when wearing one of these things for hours at a time.
I wear the Husqavarna helmet, shield, ear muff combo for almost all my "engine noise and flying debris activities. Even using the 48 inch walk behind mower, and the log splitter.
A very useful piece of PPE

This blue tooth stuff is getting out of hand.

I recently purchased a Bosch drill.driver as a mini-impact driver in the shop.

IT's blue tooth enabled!

Got to ask why I would want to check on the status of a power hand tool using a phone? But there it is!

Chips are small I guess.

I tried listening to podcasts but I found I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing more to the podcast so I switched to mindless radio or Youtube music. I even tried listening to podcasts while driving but that wasn't a good plan neither, haven't got the brain matter to multitask I guess LOL.
