Stihl 024 AV ?

I acquired an 024AV Stihl chainsaw. Per the IPL it appears that the air cleaner is a
1121 120 1610 wire mesh or a 1121 120 1625 which all of the flock is gone.The air cleaner has the 1121 121 7001 baffle. Anyone know what the baffle is for?

I don't recall a baffle. I have my Dad's 024AV that he got back around '82
It's a great, well balanced saw, that still works great!

The baffle can be reversed for winter or summer use, carburetor heat. Look for a snow flake impression on it. I have an 038 and a 391 that use that system.

That saw is at home with a 16" 325 pitch bar and chain in 8-12" wood. It will certainly cut buried fully into wood but it doens't have much power, great saw for trimming up the smaller pieces for firewood and will get the rescue job done if you pinch a bigger saw.
