Stiff steering on a M7040

Anyone know what could cause the steering to get stiff on a M7040 with 500+ hrs on it that's been greased and hyd oil & filters changed according to maintenance schedule? The temperature this AM in the 50's but I noticed the stiffness the other day when temp. was in the mid 80's.Thanks,Jim
