Oil & Fuel Sticky fuel filter nut

I want to replace the fuel filter and I'm struggling to loosen the nut at the top of the clear jar. Any tips?

If you are talking about the water separator and the aluminum nut that holds the plastic jar on, I have put a shop towel that you have folded over a couple of times over the nut and use a pair of channel locks. Don't squeeze too hard while you are trying to loosen the nut.
