I have a Steiner 425 fitted with the Kubota D950 engine which has served me well.
The problem i have is the steering is hardwork and slow. If i use full throttle the steering is easier and faster, but i still cannot steer very well.
I have a 60" mower fitted to the front and it lifts it OK, albeit slowly when the mower leaves the ground.
Could the hydraulic charge pump be worn or the relief valves incorrectly set.
I also get a lot of vibration and noise from the hydrostatic drive pump when i climb steep hills.

How do i check the hydraulic pressure form the charge pump

Cheers
Mark

Check your hydro fluid and change your filter. Had the same problem and I was low on fluid on my steiner 420. I think I want to replace my tractor with a power trac some day soon.
