Steiner Garden Tractors

Does anybody here own a Steiner garden tractor?

What are your likes and dislikes?

I am looking to put on a front end mower and a loader for yard work.

Does something else do a better job at a better price?

I personally dont have one but a friend does, the mower works great but the front end loader is so so. The loader cap. is around 400lb's and you run out of hyd. power. operator station is pretty tight I notice my knee's knocking into the dash when turning

I think my post on this last week was lost in the shffle, so here goes again...

The Steiners and Ventracs appear to be well engineered machines and their owners really like them.

If you are interested in hydraulicaly articulated machines like the Steiners and Ventracs, you may want to look at the Power Trac line as well.

I think the power trac has much more to offer.

The Steiner front "scoop" is only rated for 200#, and can lift it only somewhere between 12" to 16" /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Considering that the tractor alone is $8,000, I was expecting a little bit more condisering that the options were also pricey.

Does power trac have dealerships, or do you have to buy from their facility down south?
